Yeastar In 2026: P-Series PBX Platform With AI Transcription And Cloud Flexibility — SA Guide

Yeastar delivered 90+ P-Series updates in 2025, including AI call transcription and a no-code call flow designer, while growing 43% year-on-year. With Pinnacle ICT joining the SA channel in February 2026, here is what resellers need to know.

Yeastar is a Chinese-headquartered unified communications vendor that has built a growing presence in the global SME PBX market with its P-Series platform. Available in Appliance Edition (on-premise hardware), Software Edition (virtualised deployment), and Cloud Edition (Yeastar-hosted), the P-Series provides a single platform that scales from small offices to multi-site enterprises. Yeastar operates through a channel partner model and is distributed in South Africa through partners serving the UC reseller community.

P-Series Platform Updates

Yeastar has delivered a rapid cadence of platform updates throughout 2025 and into 2026, with over 90 feature updates adding significant capabilities:

AI call transcription and summary: Introduced in September 2025, AI transcription converts calls between two parties into readable text in real time and automatically generates call summaries. This feature supports multiple languages and is available across all P-Series editions.

AI voicemail transcription: Voicemails are automatically transcribed and forwarded to employees’ email inboxes with notifications, enabling faster responses to missed calls.

Text-to-speech: TTS converts written text into human-like audio using AI models, with support for multiple languages and regional accents — useful for IVR prompts and automated announcements.

Call Flow Designer: A visual drag-and-drop tool for designing call routing logic, introduced in the July 2025 update, allowing administrators to create complex call handling workflows without coding.

Virtual Fax: Fax-over-IP capability added to the platform for businesses that still require fax communication.

Deployment Flexibility

Yeastar’s three-edition approach gives resellers flexibility in how they deliver the platform to customers. The Appliance Edition suits businesses wanting on-premise hardware with full local control. The Software Edition allows deployment on the customer’s own servers or virtual machines. The Cloud Edition provides a fully hosted option with Yeastar managing the infrastructure.

All three editions share the same feature set and management interface, meaning resellers can standardise on a single platform regardless of how each customer chooses to deploy it.

Channel Model

Yeastar sells exclusively through channel partners. The company offers partner programmes with tiered benefits including training, certification, marketing support, and deal registration. Resellers can generate recurring revenue through Cloud Edition subscriptions, support contracts, and managed services around the platform.

Why SA Resellers Should Consider Yeastar

Yeastar’s P-Series competes directly with 3CX and other software PBX platforms in the South African market. Its deployment flexibility, rapid feature development (particularly in AI transcription and call automation), and competitive pricing make it attractive for resellers serving the SME segment. The visual Call Flow Designer and AI capabilities provide modern tools that differentiate the platform from legacy PBX systems.
