We have been named ‘Distribution Partner of the Year – International’ in the international theatre, during Mitel’s 2021 Global Partner Awards Ceremony. The annual awards program, held at the Mitel Next Partner Conference, recognises Westcon for its dedication to providing solutions that customers rely on to communicate, collaborate and power productivity.
“Westcon has demonstrated outstanding performance in guiding customers through the challenges of the past year as organisations looked to mitigate the workplace changes driven by the pandemic and modernise their communications and collaboration capabilities,” said Scott Peterson, Chief Revenue Officer, Mitel. “Mitel fundamentally believes that going to market with our partners is key to delivering the best customer experience. This award reflects the value Westcon brings to the table and the commitment they’ve made to helping customers choose the right cloud or on-premise solution to not only meet today’s business needs, but easily evolve to support new and future ways of working.”
Westcon was first appointed pan-international distributor for Mitel’s communications and collaboration portfolio in 2018. The extended partnership with Westcon was part of Mitel’s go-to-market strategy to accelerate its move to the cloud, providing channel partners a high level of service and access to Mitel’s market-leading UCC portfolio.
Marianne Nickenig, Vice President Networking & Collaboration EMEA, Westcon, said: “The events of 2020 have had a profound impact on our industry and some of these changes will no doubt reshape the channel for the foreseeable future. The sudden shift to a decentralised way of working has driven UCaaS and cloud adoption tenfold, putting Mitel in the enviable position to be able to offer a range of future-proof remote collaboration solutions to customers all over the world.”
“As a global distributor of Mitel’s market-leading portfolio, we are proud to have played an important role in supporting our partners through such a disruptive time and we appreciate to have been recognised for our efforts with this accolade,” concluded Nickenig.
