Wireless network roll-out is a breeze with RADWIN’s cloud-based R-Planner, which assists in securing optimal coverage and capacity while minimising capital and operational expenditures. It also helps to maximise the best possible utilisation of spectrum resources and is an indispensable tool that provides significant value when planning new projects and evaluating budgets before network roll-out. Using Google maps, RADWIN’s R-Planner predicts radio performance by evaluating line-of-sight obstructions, topography, typical weather conditions and self-interference. It identifies the best radio sites, indicates the number of radios required and the best frequency parameters. It also provides reports and analytics.

Planned base stations then use the RADWIN Service Estimation Tool (SET), an integral part of R-Planner, to quickly and easily establish a service estimation at any given coordinate. It will tell you if your client is covered, and what service you can offer, immediately and without a costly and time-consuming site-visit.

The planner then works with the WINTouch App and sends all relevant data to the technician, who can then use WINTouch to upload the settings to the customer premise equipment (CPE). The App is available to download for free on Android and iOS stores. Planning allows you to backtrack. If a service to a client deteriorates, you can establish what the service parameters were initially when the installation was performed, and then do fault finding as to why the service has changed.

Once planning is completed, SET predicts service availability, giving service performance estimations for potential customer locations. This helps to shorten and streamline services’ up-sale process, cut site survey expenses, and explore untapped service demand. Supporting RADWIN’s point-to-point and point-to-multipoint portfolio, R-Planner is an indispensable tool that provides significant value when planning new projects and evaluating budgets before network roll-out.

Start planning your wireless network to secure optimal coverage and capacity and assure the best model for your business!
