Grafana Reporting Now Available with 3CX Update 6 BETA
Version 20 Update 6 BETA marks a significant leap in call reporting capabilities within the 3CX ecosystem. This update builds on the recently released reporting tools by allowing integration with Google BigQuery, enabling users to harness the power of Grafana for advanced reporting, dashboarding, and data visualization. The new features promise to simplify data management, making it easier for users to generate insights without incurring additional costs associated with add-on products.
Effortless Management of Call Logs
One of the standout features of this update is the ability to store call logs externally, freeing up resources within your 3CX phone system. Users can sync their entire Call Data History to a designated external source, facilitating easier export and management of data. The functionality also allows for quicker backup and restoration processes, enhancing the overall efficiency of call data handling.
To get started with this feature, users should refer to the setup guides for both Google BigQuery and AWS PostgreSQL. It’s essential to note that this update will only sync new call logs; legacy logs will not be transferred.
Creating Custom Reports with Grafana
Update 6 also introduces the ability to connect your 3CX system to external data sources like Google BigQuery or PostgreSQL. This integration allows users to create tailored reports and dashboards using Grafana without the need for costly add-ons. With built-in reports available on the Grafana dashboard, users can also create their own customized reports to fit their specific needs.

- Click to upload the JSON file and upload each dashboard individually.
- Once uploaded, Grafana will prompt you to Select a data source. Choose the pre-configured datasource grafana-bigquery-datasource.
- At the top of each dashboard, there will be a textbox labeled BigQuery Table Path. Input your BigQuery table path, formatted as: pbx-12345678.3cx_call_data.public_cdroutput.
